"Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine."

Yay, I actually wrote two posts in the SAME week... Amazing...

So, I got a new computer right and as you know I'm Swedish, which means that my family lives in Sweden and I don't get to see them very often...

I somewhat solved that little issue a short while ago by buying a web camera, which I use together with the MSN messenger, and voila, they can both hear and see me! Albeit a little jerky quality of the video and sound quality (being the god forsaken internet's damn slow speeds fault). But hey presto! It does work but unfortunately they neither have camera or microphone (tight asses!) so I can only have a one side conversation with them (I'm speaking directly into the lens of the camera and get no response, which takes a little getting used to) whilst waiting for them to type their reply.
This means the conversation is only as fast as it takes them to type... So when you talk to your mother, it can take a loooong time... No offense folks!

Another thing to is that we're so fortunate to have the APEC meeting here in a few weeks time which is going to clog everything up. If it's not protesters, it'll be the police or what not... I'm just going to stay out of that let them have their fun...

Peace out!

Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn

So...

I suck... I didn't write as often as I thought I would... But hey, don't blame me, a few things HAVE happened in the recent months wich I blame on my lack of witing here.

So, just to give a quick catch up. I left my old job partly of what happened in May and partly due to the fact it was time to move on and up.

So things are finally looking better??? Well, I guess so...

But I do feel that I have fallen into this loop where I feel like I'm going to be stuck in for a little while now unless I do something. Not necessesarily something drastic and immediate, just that I need to do something ou of the ordinary... Maybe tap into my creative side... :P

What else has happened.. My flatmate moved out, so I'm all on my own again now, big difference when you have lived with someone in a 1 bedroom apartment for 5 1/2 months (note that he slept in my livingroom, not in the bedroom with me ;) ).

I also bought myself a new neat little tv, a 42" LCD which I do like a lot! :) It was the TV or a holiday back to the folks in Sweden... I choosed the former.

I have discovered a really annoying fact, every time I go shopping at IKEA (being Swedish you wouldn't shop anywhere else,it's out of the question) I always realise as soon as I get home that I forgot to buy something. Never anything major, but never the less VERY frustrating.
You make your bloody little list and carefully make sure you get everything, but no, there's always something missing at the end of the day when you come home... :P

For instance, I just bought a ned rug, but lo and behold, I should have bought TWO, not ONE...

Anyway...

A small tid bit til next time, and i PROMISE, I'll try my best to write more often now...

PS. I have bought my own computer now, so I can't blame it on not having one myself

I love the smell of napalm in the morning. It smells like victory.

So, it really cold now... Really cold or maybe I'm just getting older... Being a Swede, you hear too often that you SHOULD be used to it and so forth... But I have lived here for almost 5 years! Bloody hell!
Anyway, so I have moved jobs now... Feeling great! Couldn't feel better!

"And you know what they call a... a... a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?"

Hey hey hey,

Do I have news or do I have news... Well, I got my watch, I really like it... It doesn't do all the neat things from the movie but then again, I didn't think we'd clone dinosaurs after watching Jurassic Park either (if you get the paralell I'm drawing)...

Changing jobs soon too, not that I will list what I did before and I wont reveal what I'm doing next, I'm sure people appreciate that a little privacy is never wrong. But anyway, new job soon which I'm greatly looking forward to... Onwards and upwards so to say!!

I'm going to try to keep the blogs shorter and more frequent than before now.. I love writing but I also suffer from procrastinatus severus so I'll sort of write when I feel like, if I feel like it or maybe just not at all...

For those who know me, I wont write anything about the events from two weeks ago, I appreciate the support you give me personally so I'm not going to open up here out of respect to involved people and myself...

Anyway, I'm just about to open a very nice bottle of red, so if you won't mind...

...catch ya later!!!

Heeeeeres Johnny!

So, it's been a while now... Well, I HAVE been busy, doing things... Honest!

Things are going really slow now, I think I have a bit of writer's block... Speaking of writers block, I watched that movie "Stranger than fiction" recently, the one starring Will Ferrell, Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson and that Gyllenhal chick... I really liked it, but what REALLY got me hooked was the watch that featured through out the movie...
I'm such a sucker for everything, I completely fell in love with it and after successfully locating it via wikipedia (gotta love wiki!) i actually bought it from a shop in the States (you have to remember that I live in Australia) so I was mighty impressed after that.
I have to admit that I love eBay'ing, but so far I've never ventured further than buying things from Australia, bar one chance thing I bought from the UK.
I should arrive later this week, so we'll see.

Being the video game nerd that I am (I only own four games really) I recently felt like I was born again (not in a religious way mind you!!), I got my eager mittens on a game for the PlayStation 3 called Oblivion(well, the real name is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but it sounds way hardcore for me), yes Oblivion... Where do you start... I guess the best way to give an idea is to imagine Lord of The Rings, the setting and the 'milieu', IE. the environment; middle ages-ish. You can walk anywhere you want, do anything you want (to a reasonable certain extent of course!). Now, I usually have the patience of a five year old, but I actually found myself glued, and this is pretty scary, for an entire day... I think i played a good ten hours without break... To say that you get immersed is like saying Amanda Vanstone likes the odd cake on the side... Once you start, you really have a hard time stopping...

Anyway, no more droning about games! Great game, full stop.

Was out the other night, bemusing myself with my mates fruitless attempt(or lack of) to chat to this girl he saw... Funny thing here is that no matter how hard the ice is to break, one can never remember that first meeting in detail, could be in my case I've always been so inebriated and just were lucky ;)

Anyho, that's all for this time...
See yous!

Niklas

Say hello to my little friend!

Didn't write for a few days because I lost the last blog just as I was finishing up typing it, computer froze :(

What is the big deal with all these chocolate easter eggs nowadays?? First of all, they start appearing in the shops as soon as the chocolate santas are gone! It's like they're working in a bloody shift! "Allright Bunny, Christmas is over, your turn" says the chocolate Santa and six months later it's the other way around...

I have realised that I love YouTube, could you possibly find another place with so much crap in it? There's so much to watch that I get lost, but no matter how detailed my searches are; "fun", "clip" or "people"...
But it's a great time waster, I usually spend half my work day trawling through YouTube... Mmmm... Good fun...

Went through the dilemma of whether I am going to move to another apartment or not, decided that the latter maybe was best for the moment. You see, I don't live in the city, but in tranquil suburbia. And I'm starting to get drawn to the city more...

But it's so expensive, my apartment is already expensive as it is, which means if you want to live in the city, go figure, even MORE expensive, taa-fucking-daa...
But I guess that you have to literally sell an arm and a leg to be able to afford living at all nowadays...

Catch ya!

Toto, I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anyore.

Today was interesting...

Recently got the new PS3, yay what a nerd I am ;) Managed to hook it up top the internet where I played and had great fun...

Thing is though, sitting there in the convenience of my own home, killing people from all over the world (AND you get to taunt them by using a headset (headphone+mic)), it sort of struck me; the things we do for global peace! If we don't kill each other in real life, why not just simulate it instead!

I'm not saying I dislike it, I think it's great fun to empty the entire magazine of an assault rifle in to a 14 year old kid's (I dare say that's the average age of the video game players) head or to blow a dead persons body to kingdom come with a rocket launcher or why not fry them alive with a flame thrower. Give me a weapon and the world's my oyster!

After having flogged more people than I care to remember and eventually forced myself to stop(I'm already thinking of ways to avenge my countless deaths) the day took a turn for the better! Although I did know it was coming...

Anyway, in the evening I was invited to a movie screening...
That was an interesting experience, couldn't give a toss about the movie. But the people! There was every kind of movie buff stereotype there. Sure, I admit, I am one too, but these guys would put anyone considering themselves one to shame!! I'm talking knitted sweatshirts, turtle necks, berets, the whole damn kit and kaboodle!

And hey presto! That's all for today...

Coming up tomorow, 'same same, but different'!

Mama always say life was like a box of chocolates...

So, winter is coming, they say. Sure is getting darker and colder... But it's still bloody MARCH!!
Fer crying out loud!
Guess I have to believe what I'm told and continue on with my life be more 'wintrish' for the next 6 months or what not (for those who don't trigger, living in Australia comes with the little catch that EVERYTHING is upside down. Summer is winter, day is night and the water IS going the opposite direction in the sink or when flushing and we drive on what most Europeans and Americans would call the wrong side of the road and the cars are all mirrored...
I do like it here you know, otherwise I wouldn't still be here after almost 5 years!
Anyway!
Do you ever get that feeling that you are just waiting for something to happen?? Like something big, muy grande!? No? Well I constantly do.. Maybe it's just me being very restless and need stimuli or, wait, that makes me sound weird...
But I do feel like I'm just wasting my potential, maybe I was meant for something bigger... Like a superhero or something. Why don't we have real superheroes? That would be neat...Guys running around in tight spandex or what not trying to save the world whilst trying NOT to look really gay ;)

Houston, we have a problem...

Hi!
How are you? I'm all good...

First things first... I'm going to wrtite this blog in English though I'm Swedish, since I live in Australia and don't want to limit my readers to Swedes (sorry guys!)...
Being the first blog ever made by me I'm just going write a few words...
I think that should do it...

See you later!

Niklas
